Intention

My first post yesterday on Instagram was this photo and message.
Green is the color of balance and harmony.  This is my wish for all of you in the new year to come.
These are aspects of daily life that I struggle with, especially during the work week.

Balance:  mental steadiness or emotional stability; habit of calm behavior, judgment, etc.
Harmony:  a feeling that you are happy and your mind and emotions are well-balanced.

And so on this first day of the new year, although it is tradition to make resolutions, I much prefer to set daily intentions.

You are what your deepest desire is. As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.

When I am able to nourish my physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual life, I am a much happier person and through walking and having lunch with friends, I was able to accomplish all of that today.
Of course, the ultimate accomplishment will be maintaining balance and harmony once I go back to work on Sunday.

Happy New Year!

  6. Good points. And I've never made or believe in resolutions, but I do make daily hopes like you've mentioned. 2015 I'm afraid is just going to be more of life, I'm feeling like I'm 80 when I'm 50, so that's not too good; starting off with ongoing health issues and doctor appts and hoping for better days ahead.

  7. I appreciate your words today Tammy. I think I should live my life more intentionally too instead of the day to day planing that I seem to do now that I'm not working anymore. I wish you the balance you need as you go back to work on Sunday and pray that you'll be able to maintain it throughout your year.
    Happy New Year my friend.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  8. Dearest Tammy,
Oh, green means nature around us and happy life! The dreary barren trees in winter are very hard to look at, and even brown lawns. But time is moving fast, there are other things we can organize when no green is greeting us!
Sending you hugs and best wishes for a Happy and Healthy 2015!

  20. I did not know that about the color green but you are so right and I wish you the same. It is easy for me now being retired but when I was in the corporate world it was pretty awful and the reason I became ill. Greed and control over others has taken the world by a strangle hold and instead of working on being happy people take their unhappiness out on others. It's sad and not easy when you have to go out in the world. It's easy for me now because I am pretty much a recluse! LOL! They do not know what a gem you are...I've also found people can actually be jealous of you when you are happy. I discovered some of those closest to me were undermining me and my joys....raining on my parade. They are out of my life now and I am sad about that but so much happier in my own little world. Blessings and strength I send to you my friend.
