I'm Still Here

Thanks to everyone who has checked in on me.
Days are passing by much quicker than I ever thought they could.
It's the end of the school year so lots going on there.
Our oldest is in the midst of graduation practices and the youngest has exams this week.
Even though I get up early, I still feel like every single day just goes by way too fast.
I continue to walk every day which brings me much peace of mind.
And zoning in on those little spots of beauty brings me joy.
Yes, it's been hot.  110 degrees, more or less every day.
But the bluest skies which just seem to make everything better.
It is written on the arched sky; it looks out from every star.  It is the poetry of Nature; it is that which uplifts the spirit within us.
~John Ruskin

Happy mid-week!

  16. Glad to hear that you and yours are all well and busy. Busy is good. Time flies, especially the older I get. Never enough hours in the day seems like.
You are hotter than we are. We are in the 90's with high humidity. Just down to 80 at night.
Yes, those little spots of beauty have to be seeked out around here too. But it seems to make my day.

  21. Thanks for your post, Tammy. I'm among those who were starting to get concerned about you, wondering (and hoping) all was okay.

I can identify with you regarding the days passing quickly. Some of the items on my "to do" list are NOT getting done.

With three part-time jobs, it's challenging but my blog is my daily spurt of pure joy.

Take care and remember to take good care of YOU! Susan

  22. I find my days are whipping past me too. Especially the evenings when I want to do my own crafts and reading and 'blink!' 3 hours gone!! Hot weather sounds pretty good right about now as I'm pretending it's summer in my capris, but still wearing sheepskin lined slippers!! Good luck to your kids finishing up their school year ;) Wendy x

  24. Dearest Tammy,
Wow the oldest already going through graduation... Time goes by way too fast in many ways. But it is also a very positive sign.
At least you do enjoy the little wonders of nature; as long as they are thriving.
    Hugs to all of you,
    Mariette

I'm not sure if you've seen the recent post I did that was inspired by you...I crocheted a lacy cover for a rock. I love yours every time I visit your blog and finally gave it a try. It was so fun that now I'm addicted. I made another one yesterday and I'm working on a third. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)

  38. I hope once the school year is over, that you can relax a bit. I don't know how you can walk in that heat - whew!

  39. Glad that your walking is bringing a sense of contentment. Its always stress relieving when you do something physical and that you enjoy even though its been hot...kudos to you. I am officially on vacation now but only a week to go before I travel and feel like I have a lot to do, even though I really don't. Does that make sense????

  42. Hi Tammy, like you I haven't been blogging as much as usual. Funny I should stop by today when you post a quote from John Ruskin. I've been spending time in our beautiful Lake District recently and I have posted a picture of Ruskin's View - a wonderful countryside view that he loved very much.

Congratuilations to your son on his Graduation. That's a lovely photo of the three of you.

And in your previous post the birds on your balcony are so pretty. Are they some kind of dove maybe?
