The Bungalow

While in Sri Lanka, we stayed with friends for two days at the Silver Springs Estate Bungalow, which was literally in the middle of nowhere, down a very long narrow road.
The best thing about being there was being able to enjoy outdoor activities all day and night.
There was a big grassy area where soccer, cricket and other games were played.
I called this Sri Lankan sledding.
Palm fronds were used to pull the smallest kids around.
The kids even set up tents so that they had someplace to hang out at night.
Hikes and walks were taken during the day with unusual, interesting and beautiful things to see along the way.
Looking ahead
Looking up.
Looking down.
Looking all around.
I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it.

  18. Hi Tammy,
I could "willingly waste my time in it" as well! Easy to see why :)

    Beautiful photos and looks divine.

In a similar, yet totally different way, we are thinking about renting a house in the Galena area of Illinois over spring break - somewhere near the woods, with a hot tub to soak in outdoors after a long day of hiking/exploring. If money allowed, we'd rather go somewhere warm, but hopefully by spring break - which for us isn't until the first week of April - it will have warmed up some...

Hope you enjoy a beautiful new week of life,
    Linda

  30. I don't think spending time in a place like that could ever be called wasted! By the way, Silver Springs (by Fleetwood Mac) is one of my favorite songs.
