Colorful Beacons

Work has been busy.
Days have been blah.
And nothing much has been happening except the daily grind.
I'm kinda missing the lush tropical environment of Sri Lanka.
And all the beautiful, colorful flowers.
Flowers are those little colorful beacons of the sun from which we get sunshine when dark, somber skies blanket our thoughts.

One more day and then our weekend begins.
I can't wait!

Hope all is well where you are!

  2. Dear Tammy
It's always hard getting back into work etc after having a wonderful holiday as you did in Sri Lanka.
Everything seems humdrum - that's how it is for me when I return from France each time too...
i love your "new look" blog Tammy - your large photos are just stunning!
    Take care

  18. It is hard to come back from a beautiful vacation - I just spent 5 days in Colorado and I miss the mountains horribly. But thank God for weekends ... and mountains, and flowers ... and cameras to keep a record of beauty!

Hope you have a great weekend and settle comfortably back into your routine.

  19. Wow... Gorgeous, wonderful pictures of the flower... And to think that they are real... Amazing.
I always feel a little "blue" and it's hard to adjust again when I come back from visiting my family in Brazil...but a few more days and life starts to feel "normal" again.
Hope the flower brighten your day :)

  22. Hi Tammy,
You know I know all about the blahs.... :)

Hopefully you'll enjoy a lovely weekend.

I've had the blahs again myself because of our new huge blanket of snow. It's very UN-springlike here, but I keep telling myself that this is Illinois afterall, and the weather can be 30 degrees one day and 65 the next.... so, hopefully something encouraging will happen soon.

    Take care,
    Linda

  25. Thanks for your kind comment on my mother. I do miss her but it's getting easier.

I too read all the Nancy Drews and Hardy Boys (per Lori's blog)

Your Sri Lanka pictures are lovely and it looks like a great time. I can see why you miss it a bit now. Our son's kindergarten teaching in Africa was from Sri Lanka.
