Science has never drummed up quite as effective a tranquilizing agent as a sunny spring day.

I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen.

It was such a spring day as breathes into a man an ineffable yearning, a painful sweetness, a longing that makes him stand motionless, looking at the leaves or grass, and fling out his arms to embrace he knows not what.
After a week of all kinds of weather, today is absolutely beautiful.
There was much to see and hear as we wandered along on our morning walk.
Birds chasing butterflies. Dragonflies and flowers.
Even a rooster, chicken and a duck.
To everyone surrounded by snow, I'm sending warm Spring wishes your way,
Hi Tammy: I wrote a nice long comment and it disappeared! Oh well. My brain won't remember exactly what I said, but it was something along the line of thank you for taking us along for springtime!
ReplyDeleteWe had rain, hail, thunder and snow yesterday in the Pacific Northwest, but today the sun is shining and it makes everything seem so much better.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Blessings,
Betsy
Lovely spring photos! Thanks, Tammy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. Nice to join you on your walk. :)
ReplyDeleteDearest Tammy,
ReplyDeleteINCREDIBLE for seeing a mature sunflower in MARCH! Enjoy your sights for as long as it lasts...
Hugs,
Mariette
Such lovely photos! Thanks for the warm wishes. We are pretty chilly today and woke up to snow! It is melting away but still I don't like to see snow when it is spring!
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteLove all of your photos. Minus the palm trees, green grass, and flowers, our day 'looks' very similar. Sunshine and beautiful blue skies and the temperature is 37 degrees, which is actually quite nice today considering there's no wind (for once). Unfortunately, another big snowstorm coming our way on Sunday. The good news is that these late season storms never last here in Illinois and all will likely be melted in the days that follow. Still, I can't say I'm too happy about the forecast. Just one week until our spring break in NORTHERN Illinois and I'm thinking we may need to bring a sled with in case the beautiful hills of Galena are covered in snow. ;)
Enjoy your weekend. I'm about to go enjoy mine, though wouldn't you know it - I have a head cold.
Linda
Beautiful pictures, just remember when it is Spring for everyone else you and I will be baking in the heat.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your beautiful day,
Meredith
I enjoyed your floral post.. we have lots of flowers in bloom here.. but the lilacs are still a ways off - they are my very favorites!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely passages, lovely photos, take care and have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for such lovely, warm, sunny pictures. I don't have snow here today, but we have cold and grey skies...so I truly enjoyed all your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always
Thank you for the warm, sunny photos......we have snow....again! Xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is the type of living in the moment I am trying to do...enjoying every moment and element of my days.
ReplyDeleteYour crocheting is really coming along and the butterflies are adorable as is the bunny. Blissful Days...
You ARE having a beautiful Spring! I love every day of every season most of the time. I only have a little trouble when it stays the same for too long....I guess too much of anything is not necessarily a good thing. I had too much of my yogurt with honey and walnuts and now I'm tired of it! LOL! Your flowers there are absolutely vibrant with color and variety! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun walk. The ducks have been at the beach here lately joining the swans before they head north for winter.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of natives that flower in Autumn as well as spring, I guess that makes up for the lack of leaf colours.
Enjoy your day.
WOW!! That butterfly on the sunflower is stunning!!! love the photos, Tammy! Enjoy savoring your spring. blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you Tammy. It's so cold here and your spring pictures are just the right medicine. Diane
ReplyDeletePretty flowers! Happy Spring! :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. You have brightened my morning. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures Tammy to cheer up a cold, wet and gloomy day here in England.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,
Angela.x
It has been gorgeous here too. I put out 6 more hummingbird feeders!
ReplyDeleteRight now I am stash busting while waiting for the plumber....
Have a great day!
Hi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteI'm just trying to catch up with some visiting and just read that you were in a car accident. I'm so glad nobody was hurt. It's crazy how many people drive cars while doing anything BUT paying attention!
It's a gray, dreary day here and I'm not feeling motivated to do anything but be lazy but have errands to run, so must go out.
Hope your weekend was a good one!
Beautiful pictures, Tammy.
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to get more snow on Monday. I swear this is the longest winter I can remember.
xo
Claudia
Wow - just beautiful! I'm going to try to pay extra attention to spring too - it can be so short in Atlanta. Before we know it the heat of summer will be upon us!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you, Tammy. Looking forward to spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your visits and comments, too. Susan
Oh Tammy-- it's SO true-- nothing makes my spirits soar like a beautiful spring day--- and I need one-- SOON!!
ReplyDeleteXoxo
Vicki
Dearest Tammy,
ReplyDelete"today is absolutely beautiful" sounds great and your photos look so warm and lovely! We don't have snow at the time but it has 0 degrees Celsius and in TV they said snow will come again next week... (sigh!)
Thank you for all the spring-impressions you sent to us!
Warm hugs from cold Austria, Traude
you are so thoughtful tammy, i was thinking the same when i shared my day in the sun, but forgot to send out the sunshine and warmth! it looks really pretty there, i'm so happy you were able to enjoy a nice walk. i think i'll take one here later too!
ReplyDeleteThis was perfect for me today. I woke to 4 inches of snow. Ahhh, Springtime in Montana...LOL Kit
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice welcome to spring. I want to remember to stop and smell the air when it gets here. We are supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow tomorrow. :(
ReplyDeleteOh Tammy, looks like you enjoyed a gorgeous Spring day...I do hope there are still more to come. The weather has been a little strange around here. Other years it would have been very warm by now but we are still having really cold days and nights, well cold for us anyway. Hope your beautiful weather continues. Sending you a great big hug.
ReplyDelete❤Ana
Your pictures are beautiful The colours of the blooms are gorgeous. Just a little bit of your sunshine and blue skies would be so welcome here at the minute. I'm ready for spring to arrive and stay around for a while too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Tammy...very spring-like! We are now in autumn yet the past couple of days have been so hot and muggy. A huge storm passed through last night which is fairly unusual for this time of year. I'm looking forward to cooler weather. Have a great week! xx
ReplyDeleteI loved walking with you and seeing all the colors of Spring - we're getting rain and cool temps. still - but I hope to walk sometime this week.
ReplyDeleteHappy day Tammy dear.
Mary
