It's been a busy start to the month of December.
Coffee with a friend at Starbucks early morning Saturday.
A trip the to the yarn store for supplies.
The making of bags ...
and other simple crafting.
Continued work on my sampler rug. Two-thirds of this design must be finished before next Sunday and it is slow going to say the least.
Lots of sky watching.
Viewing this beautiful video shared by Susy at The Feathered Nest.
And the purchase of a new laptop which takes some getting used to.
I have a lot of catching up to do with all of you.
Will be around to visit very soon.
Hope you've had a great start to the new month and a new week.
Dearest Tammy,
ReplyDeleteLovely angel on your glass; simple craft but very pretty! It looks like you had lots of distraction from your melancholic feeling... This is good; coffee with a friend is the best soul food. We cherish all the memories of friends that no longer are with us.
Hugs,
Mariette
Looks like you have a good balance to this busy month. Great photos. Blissful Creating with the yarns, votives, and your rug which looks amazing. Joyful Jingles Dear...
ReplyDeleteP.S. How is Jingles?
Hey there ~ glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully it offset the surprise of having to buy a new laptop a little! Loved your "sky watching" photos. Here's to a super week.

What a lovely-looking coffee house! You've certainly been busy. Love the glass decals. Good luck with getting two-thirds of your rug completed. I remember when I used to do cross-stitch, it was fairly slow going. What an awesome moon photo!
ReplyDeleteThat video - AMAZING! So much to be thankful for in each and every day. Thanks for sharing it on, Tammy...I will do likewise.
Have a lovely day! xx
I love early morning coffee dates with friends! Fun!

You are a busy girl.. love the etching, did you use real etching acid? Love the moon shot, is it a new one, or the one you've used before? Now to watch the video.

Hi Tammy. Congratulations on the new laptop!
ReplyDeleteLoved the video. It's so right on! It is good to live with immense gratitude for even the little gifts of life. And it is good to try to be blessings in the lives of others.
Great job on the glasses, too. You are so creative. Susan
Busy, busy girl. :) pretty rug pattern. Kit
ReplyDeleteBusy month...but you've got a great start!
ReplyDeleteLove your crafts. The glasses are beautiful, and the colors of yard so cheery.
Tomorrow I will visit my friend Elizabeth who will celebrate her 96th Birthday tomorrow. Taking her a couple of pretty blouses for Christmas and some goodies.
Then I'll pick up two of my grandsons from school and visit a while with my daughter when I drop them off. Will cook my last pumpkin tomorrow for more pumpkin bread.
Love this time of year.
tis time of year is soooo busy, I hope your little stop in Starbucks was relaxing!

ReplyDeleteLike that decor on the glasses you made! is it some special sticky paper? i'd love to try!

Hi Tammy! That's a cool looking Starbucks...wish I could have joined you for a cup of jo!
ReplyDeleteNice hooky projects - who wouldn't be inspired by those pretty yarns.
ReplyDeleteNice glasses you have created.
Enjoy.
I am always amazed at everything you do, simply beautiful
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all - what an AWESOME closeup of the Moon!!!! Nice job!! It made me pause and wonder about life.
I love all of the things you're creating as always - what a neat idea for making plain glasses new! :)
I was wondering with all of your crafting - are these Christmas gifts for your family and friends? I just wonder what you do with all of the things you make.
You're the craftiest person I know.
There's none of that really at our house - seems like my hours are just filled with other things. Right now, everything I'm doing is preparing for Sarah's 17th Birthday on December 10th -which of course, will involve at least 2 days of celebrations. I like to make everything really special. Then it will be Jim's birthday on the 24th and finally Christmas. In between we have all sorts of family gatherings. December is a very full month.
Kind regards,
Linda :)
Beautiful pictures and so many things you have to do. Take it easy.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Tammy, I understand your Melancholy, I have lost two friends in two months, so sad, cancer is a horrible disease. I really enjoyed your beautiful video, thanks for sharing it and helping us appreciate each beautiful moment of the day.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Meredith
You get the best moon photos!
ReplyDeleteYour rug is going to be very lovely indeed, and your yarn has some wonderful names. :)

It sounds like a busy start to December for you but good one:) I love to do sky watching too, it always makes me smile when nature puts on a beautiful show for us, stunning moon photo too. Enjoy your week and your crafting. xx
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the laptop, I guess. I don't know if I would ever choose one. Us oldies find it hard to learn new things. But then again I can learn what I want. LOL Blessings and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hi Tammy, I seem to have been away from the computer a lot lately so haven't been doing much blog visiting :-( Instead I've been busy with crochet, knitting and reading. I'm crocheting a granny square rug and I notice that you have some of the same wool I do. The multicoloured Wicked in your photo is one of four colours in my blanket. I've been knitting hats and scarves too. Anyway, its been good catching up with your blog and I love your new layout and bigger photos. Also a belated Happy 16th Wedding Anniversary to you!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of the sky. I'd take time to watch it, too! And I also love Starbucks :)
ReplyDeletePS - Thanks so much for the sweet comment about Buttercup. I really appreciate it.
wonderful pictures. and a great blog too. lovely greets and a nice evening.

Coffee, food and friendship is always a great way to start your day. Which reminds me, we need to do the same. I see your getting into the Christmas swing of things. Love your decorative glasses. Can I buy them off you for party favors for my cookie festival??? REALLY! Its exactly similiar to what I had in mind doing (maybe not design wise) but something small with Xmas prints or lid decoration. I have to know where you got those decals so I can make my own!! Do tell woman.
ReplyDeleteYour Starbuck's certainly is stylish and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo much to catch up on and enjoy here always Tammy!
That photo of the moon is amazing too!
AND you get to creating such a variety of wonderful things (in the kitchen too!)
