Tea on Tuesday

After making pumpkin oatmeal the other night, I still had pumpkin to use up, so made pumpkin muffins.  And because everything tastes better with a bit of "frosting", I whipped together pumpkin with cream cheese, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and powdered sugar.  Spread that on top, added a pecan and served it up with Spiced Chai and cardamom milk.  Pretty darn good!
It looks like we are in for yet another dust storm.  At 5 pm, it's already getting dark and dreary out there.  Hubby decided to walk anyways, but I chose to stay in.  After a few chores, I will settle in for the evening with crochet hook in hand.
Hope your Tuesday is a good one.  Stop by Kimmie's place for more Tea on Tuesday.

  2. Is spring always full of dust storms there? Here, in spring, we have thunderstorms. We've had a few good sized tornadoes this week, which is rare this far south. Like your crochet items. I'm still learning how to knit...I guess crochet is next. :) Happy tea day.

  5. They look delicious. I had also become fashionable and crochet when it's still a sandstorm on the way.

  8. Apparently I was trying to leave a comment at the same time as someone else and MINE was rejected. Not sure I can remember everything I said, but I know I said I liked the food from Sunday, and the pumpkin muffins with their special cream cheese icing. I also said something about the adorable crocheted flowers. My grandmother used to make ones that looked similar (and same color, too).

Sorry, I know this isn't what I started with a few minutes ago, but still, have a super, albeit late evening, Tea Tuesday.

  9. Once in a while I read a blog post, and feel inspired enough to get off my bottom and re-create what I've just seen. Not only is this great exercise for my seat loving legs, but also keeps my children fed. Thank you Tammy. I am making those Pumpkin muffins NOW!

  10. Those muffins look pretty AND delicious! I absolutely adore your little owl too and the flowers. I have to pay bills today (YUCK) but after that I am going to sit and make some flowers to string across my mantle. Spring is going on outside but I need to make something Springy for the inside!

  24. I love that you stopped by - thanks for the comment.

Reading through your recent posts, I can hardly believe that we were perhaps at the Dubai Mall on the very same day, wow it's a small world after all!! Your pics (like mine, which I'll post soon as I work my way through SE Asia) brought back memories of that exciting place - the fountain, the Burj, aquarium etc.

Nice that you did meet up with a blog pal though - always fun.

I'll become a follower Tammy as I'm looking forward to reading more of your life far from home - wherever that may be!

Hugs - have a wonderful day.
