Happy Day

Thanks to everyone who enlightened me on these beautiful flowers that I posted about yesterday.  They are indeed hollyhocks and I absolutely adore them!
This afternoon I took abandoned kitty to the home of one of our international teachers who will get her to the vet to be cleaned, shaved, spayed and treated for a cold and injured paw.
I can't tell you how happy kitty was to be inside again.  She explored her surroundings and then plopped herself right down and started rolling around on the carpet.  It was a joyful moment indeed!  The good news is there may already be someone interested in adopting her.
While I was there, we spied this little guy tap-tap-tapping at the window.
And guess who has a birthday today?
Jingles turns 8.  Such a pretty girl.

Happy Tuesday!

  3. Jingles posed so nicely for her birthday portrait!
I loved the hollyhocks we had in our yard in North Dakota when I was growing up. They don't seem to grow them much where I live in California.

  6. Believe it or not... I learned those flowers' name in English before Portuguese (I still don't know what they're called here) but the funny thing is I spread a whole bunch of seeds last weekend at my dad's property! Just because I fell in love with them last year up north and managed to save the seeds to plant here :)
I'm glad kitty is doing well--and happy birthday to Jingles!

  17. What a great day it was for that poor kitty. Yep, crazy cat lady, you did GOOD!! I hope you have found a home for this one, it is very cute. I don't understand why people get rid of cats or don't neuter them and allow them to roam free. That is such a pain.

On a brighter note, Happy Birthday to the birthday girl, sweet Jingles!

  25. What a beautiful kitty. I'm glad she may have a home soon. The pretty photo of the bird looks like it's a snowbird on a snow covered branch, but I know that it can't be snow there where you live. It's beautiful though.
Thanks for the photo editing tips. I haven't been blogging much, but I've enjoyed catching up and seeing all of your photos.
    Blessings,
    Marcia
