Stolen Moments

This week has been extra busy for some reason.  Can't seem to keep up and haven't accomplished a whole heck of a lot.
We've had really nice weather with sunshine and clear skies.  Hopefully that will continue so hubby and I can get in some walking.
One more day of school and then our weekend begins.
I'm looking forward to having more time to catch up on all that I need and want to do.

Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

  4. I've been wondering where you've been. :)

    Your cat is adorable.

Glad you're enjoying good weather. Ours would be lovely as well IF it weren't for the horrendous winds. I'm not kidding. 70 degrees yesterday and today and yesterday with not a cloud in the sky. But... that wind. 40 mph sustained wind with 50-60 mph gusts and power outages because of it. Just the typical "hurricane winds of Illinois" unfortunately. I would love to live somewhere where it's calm most of the time, but don't know if such a place exists.

Anyway - the week is indeed clipping along and I'm glad. Only 7 work/school days until Spring Break. Jim and I take vacation then and we're still not sure what we'll be doing, but doing something fun for sure.

    Have a nice evening,
    Linda

  8. Love your kitty pictures, Jingles looks so content. Hope you are able to get the things done that you want to do this weekend and have some time for you as well. Our weather in Cincinnati really has been strange with snow one day and temps in the 60's the next. Hopefully the snow is gone for good now. I'm ready for spring. :-)

  10. Dearest Tammy,

Oh, I'm screaming for more hours and more time... Why is the punishment so big after such a 9-day trip? Can't keep up with it all and still need to do my tax papers. HATE that...
    Love to you,

    Mariette

  17. Hi Tammy....I remember how stretched for time I was when I worked full time. Every spare second was a precious gem. I'm much happier doing part-time. Jingles looks adorable, as always. Susan

  18. Dearest Tammy,

I marked this post while I came across it on my iPhone, while in Curaçao and now I will pass it on to you: http://ideenmitherz.artwork-lang.com/?p=1487
That is such a lovely idea and you can make use of it no doubt.
Guess what? I've been crocheting some edging in Curaçao with fine DMC 80 thread but my eyes are getting too old for that kind of work. My goodness, I hardly can believe that I did the fine crocheted lace edgings on handkerchiefs. The last ones were three bridal kerchiefs in 2000... But I laughed my head off when in a new Solutions catalog this week they offer reading glasses in # 4; 4.5; 5; and 6! So I'll get me some and that will help also with the cross stitch that I started. But the time is so limited here at home...
    Love to you,
    Mariette

  25. We too have had a busy week. No time to post on my blog. Maybe tomorrow.

You asked recently if we get that fine dust during a dust storm and the answer is yes. I gets everywhere. When we had the big haboob last year, cars inside of garages were covered with that horrible stuff. It gets in your eyes, lungs, everywhere. They were concerned about more people getting valley fever because it is carried in the dust. In fact, one of my granddaughters was recently checked for valley fever because she was having breathing and lung issues. Thankfully she didn't have valley fever.

I feel for you and having to clean up all that dust. I lived in northern Arizona (Page) and there we had red sand that blew in under the doors and around the windows but it wasn't the fine stuff we have here.

  28. Dust is a never ending story here. As soon as you clean it, its back in 5 minutes. Exactly where does the time go???? I can't figure it out myself. I'm sure if I didn't work outside the home, I'd probally be busy with something else. I needed to catch up on school work but forget my things in school...ugh! Blessing in disguise? Anyways, enjoy your weekend. Looks like its gonna be nice.

  32. I am feeling that way today.... like I am getting nothing accomplished. Have Aiden he keeps me busy, right now he is napping, I have to tiptoe around the house as he wakes easily.
It is snowing very gently outside. We are going to the cabin today with Joy and Terry, it has been a while since we have been there and a long time for them.
    Have a great weekend.
    Love, Gwen
