Progress

Hello there! I hope your day is going well.

The granny squares are adding up. There's no real plan involved, just working with what I've got. Looks like I am gonna have to work in some solid squares since I am running low on white. I would say I've made pretty good progress since I just started this on Monday.

It's late so time to hit the hay in my corner of the world. Back to school tomorrow. Have a good one! Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

  1. You are a fast crocheter! So many lovely projects growing in your hands. I wish I could knit and crochet but I´m a total disaster in that area. In school I struggled with a potholder one year, I mean it took me ONE year, when my classmates made skirts, bags etc... :(
Have a great day at school toorrow!

  2. Hi Tammy, really admire your versatility and speed! Today I woke up and tried to do several things at once and I could not finish any. The heat is so stifling that I believe is that we stopped 'and everyone at home we have taken a bath and we sat down to REST. I went to the studio and creating something for my blog .... elartederosia where I expose my work manuals. I've driven by your rich baked dishes, really soon. greetings, Rose Marie

  6. The pigeon seems to echo your hello.

I like the colors of your granny squares together. The white just ties them all together, doesn't it. Diane

  10. Looks pretty!

Here we are still well in the midst of our weekend obviously. Jim and I spent our day doing various fun things - ok, grocery shopping, not so fun, especially since the current administration, our grocery prices among everything else has doubled. No matter what I try, it's still always double. Craziness. Anyways - we grocery shopped, looked at a consignment shop that I had been wanting to go into for months, went to lunch, strolled around the U of I Idea garden taking some good photos that I'll post when I have the chance, despite the really, really bad humidity. Finished with the movies - ONE DAY, that wasn't as good as I thought it would be, and off on an evening bicycle ride, followed by happily being couch potatoes for the evening.

That was our Saturday in a nutshell. Sunday, half the day will be spent driving up to pick up Sarah from her Dad's house and returning home, and onward to the first full week of school.

  15. HI! wow, back to schoo already, where has the summer gone to. Our kids still have 2 weeks, but we did not have the last day until the end of July, so we are just over half way thru.

Love the granny squares. They can become addictive, can't they! I remember fondly back to my crocheting days, I could hardly put the crochet hook down. It is such fun. Looks like you are thoroughly enjoying your creative time. I love the colors you are using.

Have a great weekend, or what is left of it.
    hugs, Debby

  16. Hi tammy,
I so enjoyed reading the things I have missed here, had to nod my head about your bowl of nuts and fruit, same here, yummy! And you are going fast girl with those squares! My plan (yes, still in the planning mode) is to ask my girlfriend to teach me while she sit next to me, I see her in two weeks time when we are going to our annual fleamarket trip in France. I need someone to show me the moves, I can only to the basics. Anyway, thank you so much for always leaving me such sweet comments, I'm back blogging, my oldest girl had already one schoolweek, the youngest will start tomorrow again, so then the holiday feeling is really over. See you soon, Maureen x

  19. You are doing a great job with those squares. Maybe I can get Brenda to teach me this winter. She tried a few years ago... but I know more stitches now then I did then. We went on a beautiful ride in the country today.
    Ta!

  21. Show's you what an amateur I'm at with crocheting. Thought you were making pot holders...lol. I can always take some of those off of your hands if you'd like. I've actually made a little progress of my own....I've actually picked up some x-stitching and worked on it for about 45 minutes last night. Had to work with a thread needle because I have no idea where my x-stitching ones went to. Went out and bought some today along with some new aida and threads. Haven't worked on it today but have been focused. Let's hope I can stay on task and finish this project that has been on the back burner for 2 years. Looking forward to what your project will be.
Don't know why I still cannot log on to your site with Google as I had no problem when I signed in to Gwen's...strange. Anyways, have a good work week.

    Love Melissa
