Dust If You Must

Thursday's dust storm is still hanging around. When the skies are not a brilliant blue, there is dust in the air. Although it might not be visible right in front of us, it must be rather heavy to cover an entire sky above.

Last nite we met friends for coffee. My skinny latte was served in a mighty big cup at Java Detour.

Hubby brought back tea from Sri Lanka on his recent trip there and it was gifted to our friends along with a couple of crocheted dishcloths.

We received orange marmalade made by the British Ladies Society. It will go great with the cranberry scones from yesterday.

On dusty days, the sun is nothing but a dot in the sky.

Today is a pajama day. Blogging, cleaning (lots of dusting) and hopefully some crocheting this evening. Hope your Saturday is a good one! Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

    What a thoughtful gift you brought to your friends. The marmalade sounds like the perfect accompaniment to your scones. Can't go wrong with cranberry and orange.
    The dust storm doesn't look like fun, but the pajama day sounds like a good way to make the most of it. Enjoy!

    Happy Saturday :)

    Here it's the opposite - clear blue sky and sunshine again. We're on a roll. Supposed to be hot and humid today, which is 90s for us, but I'm glad. Hopefully some time in our pool this afternoon, but I have grocery shopping to do this morning for our regular 2-week menu and also for the summer-gettogether/family reunion event which we are hosting at our house one week from today.

    Hi Tammy,
    I'm a bit curious...I have never experienced a dust storm before so forgive my silly questions...Are these storms any thing like what they show in the movies? During these storms is the air breathable? Can you go out or do you have to stay indoors? I know silly huh? But curiousity just got the best of me :-)

    As it turns out you do have numerous days that the sky is not clear and bright... But you have the gift of creating 'sunshine' in your home and in the hearts of others by giving meaningful gifts from labor of love.     PJ day sounds wonderful. We have sunshine here, we have not seen much of it this spring. I am working today, went out on the Bookmobile for the first half of the day. It is great to get out to share library materials. It is hard to imagine what a dust storm would be like. I hope your day has been great so far.

    Tammy, have I told you (probably more than once) that I never tire of the Emerson quote. Inspires me everytime I read it! ;)

    I chuckled at the super glue nosespray story! They are such good little helpers! LOL! And, I feel for your friend with the 7y/o and the new baby. Sometimes adjustments to family change are very challenging. Our Little Man just did not understand why his momma had to hold that baby to nurse and couldn't hold him at the same time. Bless his little heart. I know it will get easier for him, but for today my heart hurts for his little heart.

    I'm guessing at the teenage years there can be some interesting times for you! LOL! Makes me glad to be a grandmother! Hee hee.

    I think I'd just shrivel up and die in those temperatures. I can't bear 90 degrees, much less what you deal with.

    I just don't remember that many dusty days in Kuwait. I am reminded on a daily basis here, as there is ALWAYS dust in the air here. Not much fun, but what can you do, other than clean it up??
    Your skinny latte looks yummy. I am always up for one, and the bigger the cup, the better. Hope you found your time to crochet.
