Keeping Cozy in the Heat

The skies today are such a brilliant blue! And the temperature is hot! 111 degrees!

On days like this, it is much better to stay comfy and cozy indoors because it is just way too hot to do anything outside.

Speaking of comfy and cozy ... the parents of this little guy tell me that he loves the blanket I made just for him.

Guess I need to get back to work on this one I'm making for a baby girl who is due June 6th.

I hope you are having a great day wherever you are, whatever you are doing. Best wishes and blessings, Tammy

  1. Hi Tammy....Awwwww, the little one is sweet. You have air-conditioning, right? Don't have ours hooked up yet but will soon. Thanks for all your visits and comments on my blog. Love them. Take care, Tammy. Have a peaceful day and keep cool! Susan

  2. Hi Tammy! Sorry I haven't stopped by more often--just busy as always. I'm in alot of swaps and trying to get everything done. As far as heat---wowzers--111 degrees is too much for me! I like the heat but that's just too hot. It got to 94 the other day and I was wilting. I won't complain though--I'd rather have heat than the cold.

  4. I finally fixed the no comment problem...now I can say ...hello Tammy.. what would we do without the A/C?? We're headed for a heatwave over here this week...mid-90's that will feel like the 100's, and we don't live in the desert. Hope you can stay cool and get the blanket finished...then you can start on the watermelons..:).
    take care...

Phew! how do you manage in the heat and baking muffins too.
It's around 64 degrees here today, I drove over Dartmoor today and was sat in thick cloud, very spooky.
    Have great week,
    Hugs and smiles, Angela.
ps, still having problems with blog comments, hope this arrives.

  15. Hello sweet friend!
I could do with some of your heat right now.
It is very cold and wet in Sydney but we did have some beautiful autumn weather just recently which was delightful.
Those blankets you make are lovely.
Keep shining and have a great week.

  16. Isn't it great to be able to stay cool inside? I know that is what I am doing today, but we certainly aren't experiencing 111 degrees!

    Wishing you a wonderful week.

  18. I certainly hope you are staying inside with all that heat outside. I know I am doing just that!! It is hot here too. 47C today. OUCH!! Someone told me today that a doctor told her that 80% of the population of Doha is deficient in Vitamin D. It is no wonder, as it is too bloody hot to go outside and sit in the wonderful sunshine!
That little man is making your afghan look good. What a lovely thing to see!! The "she" afghan is looking good. Can't wait to see the finished product!!

    XOXO

  20. Hi Tammy,
Your blanket creations are lovely :)

We're having our own heat wave here - nothing like yours of course but relative - 90s and humid. Perfect for being in our pool or inside the air conditioning.

    Have a great week.
P.S. the same issue is back with leaving comments but it's only happening to me when I try to post on your page and one other. Other friends blogs are having no issues, so only happening on some. I have to go a roundabout way to get it to post. Hopefully they'll fix it soon. :)

  21. Oh that is way tooooooooo hot for me. Stay cool my friend on the other side o' the world!

I don't like to crochet with yarn during the heat...so I work with the smaller, fine gauge cotton crochet threads....but that's me!

    ciao bella

    have a good night!

  22. Your crocheted blankets are so sweet and so is the little guy sleeping under his. Wow! At 111 degrees, I'd stay inside too. We have a few days at close close to that in Bakersfied, and I keep the drapes closed and the air on.

  23. Perhaps you could send some heat my way? I could sure use it!!

That blanket is adorable ~ very pretty!

  24. Hi Tammy,
Too hot? Send some to us please, I just turned the heat back on, it's been cold and raining here since yesterday, non stop....
You are so creative, when winter comes I have to take a serious look at my wool supply, just sitting there, waiting for me...
    Have a good week!

  26. Gosh, 111 degrees, I'll bet you thank heaven for air conditioning everyday don't you? I think I'd just sit in the shade with a cold drink and a good book in temperatures like that.

I loved the quotations in your last post.
