Oh Baby and a Birthday!

Little Charlie is sleeping peacefully under the granny ripple I made. Her mom sent a thank you and this picture the other day. Isn't she precious?

Saturday was a rainy day here in the desert but I had plans to take Leslie out for her birthday.

The restaurant is called Zahr El Laymoun and is a cozy, bistro-like Lebanese restaurant.

Traditional bread comes with the meal.

I ordered a rocket, mint, pine nut and cherry tomato salad with yogurt and garlic dressing ...

along with grilled potatoes with olive oil and rosemary, while Leslie ordered the Mediterranean salad with grilled veges and feta. Yummo!

Good food + good friends = good times!

Have a terrific Tuesday everyone! Friendship blessings, Tammy

  6. Tammy, the food looks delicious! Reminds me that I have to get into the kitchen soon to have dinner ready when the kids come home from school! Love the baby blanket you made. Brings back wonderful warm memories of all the blankets my mother crocheted over the years, and which we still use in our daily life now. Lovely post. ~Debby

  11. Lucky baby!! Look at him! :o)
Yummy salads!! I am so in the mood for one. Perhaps at lunchtime? A "Go Asia" one = lettuce, bread crumbs, nuts, carrots, pineapple and wedges of tangerine with oriental dressing. Now, doesn't that sound inviting?!!
    have a lovely day!

  13. Hi dearest Tammy - Little Charlie is absolutely sweet and adorable! And I am happy that you had such a nice birthday-meeting with your friend Leslie (and so gooooood fooood, yummie!) I have seen that there are some reasons for you to be worried and pray for friends - to people whose children are seriously ill and to people from Japan. All the more important it is to enjoy good times and fill up with full energy. Lots of hugs to you, Traude

  17. I read the name Charlie, and keep thinking I will see a little boy. She makes your afghan look fantastic. What a sweet little thing.
I can't believe you are getting so much rain and drizzle. We have a ton of wind, but not a drop of rain.
Lunch looks great. Glad that you were able to get out to celebrate Leslie's day!!

    Love,
    Renee
