Located in Hellboda Estate, Katukitula, Pussellawa, Sri Lanka,
the Lavender House is a renovated 1890's planter's bungalow.
Upon arrival we were greeted with refreshing lavender-scented towels
and then led into the conservatory. As it turns out, this was also the only room with a tv.
The bungalow is nicely decorated with antiques from the colonial period.
There are only 5 bedrooms and fortunately for us, we were the only guests for the two days we were there.
The kids room had a lovely bay window.
Our room was big and spacious.
The bathrooms had clawfeet tubs and reproduction plumbing fixtures.
Dinner was served in the dining room each night.
But dinner needs a post all to itself because each meal was absolutely exquisite. Even the kids thought so and kids can be so picky!
