Saturday Salutations

My morning coffee is being sipped from a holiday mug I received last year. I put a tsp of cinnamon in with the grounds as the coffee brewed. A delicious way to start the day.

Over the next few days, I will be baking for a women's shelter and for gift giving. The sugar cookie dough is ready for chillin'.

The Christmas mugs I bought yesterday from Pottery Barn (buy two get one free) are ready for fillin'.

Wednesday and Thursday were whirlwind days for me. I love Saturdays because they are quiet and free of obligations (except for Zack's baseball pratice from 3-4:30 pm). There's time for cleaning, crafting, baking. Last nite I started making holiday tags with my recycled cereal boxes and bits of scrapbooking paper.

I also did a little cross-stitching and tried my hand at a crocheted stocking. I didn't much like the pattern. Was too fiddly to hold as I crocheted round and round. Will look for another pattern to try.

So much I want to do. I CANNOT believe it is December 11th. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend in your neck of the woods! Friendship Blessings, Tammy

  5. I also love hunkering
    down days, Tammy!
    Lucky for us, we are
    having a blizzard today
    and all kid activities
    were cancelled, so it
    will truly be cozy as
    we wrap and write and
    hopefully sneak in a
    movie or two. Thinking
    about you across the
    world! Big hugs!
    xx Suzanne
    PS: Thanks for your

  13. I am not surprised that you are doing something for a worthy cause. Can't believe you didn't tell me of your little find at Pottery Barn. I'm gonna have to go there to get some of those mugs, that's if you didn't take them all. The only thing I have been crafting are cookies. Its so true how this month goes by so fast because everyone is just busy with the holidays. Happy crafting and making people happy:)

  15. Hi Tammy, We are having a super snowy weekend in my neck of the woods...the biggest snow in 19 years.

A bit of cinnamon in coffee sounds good. Lately, I am into drinking chai tea every morning with splash of milk and honey.
