Nothing says summer like ...

S'MORES

It's one of my kids favorite things to do when we visit Aunt Elaine in Michigan.

They even burned the end of a stick so they could write their names on the sidewalk.

Simple summer pleasures.

Peace & blessings to one and all, Tammy

  1. It sure wouldn't be summer without smores! Love seeing your lovely vacation via your beautiful photos!

I'm finally home...no more traveling for me this summer! Vacations are wonderful, but home is the best!

Hope you're having a beautiful day, Tammy!

  2. Amen.... you got that right. Nothing like a campfire in Michigan to bring in a warm hot humid August. Glad to see you are still having a great time.

  4. You know, I actually do not like s'mores - just an occasional roasted marshmallow plain but even that isn't a favorite of mine. But the kids - they LOVE them and yes, we always do those when we have our backyard campfires. :)

    Loved your photos.

  5. Did they burn the outside (in flames) of the marshmallows, blow them out, and then eat them? I used to love that...and have the fillings to show for it!

    Great memories, Tammy.

  8. Mmmm, smores are wonderful. Glad you've been enjoying yourself. I also got two large variegated yarns at a Joann's last weekend, half priced. Couldn't resist. So I'll be looking for another baby project too. Have a wonderful day, lots of blessings to you all.

That's a cute photo of you and Gwen below at the antique store. I love the goodies you found...especially that darling cabinet card.
Spending time playing games in the GRASS, eating pumpkin pie and getting a ticket from highway patrol is truly AMERICAN at it's best :)))) I giggled when I read about the ticket! haha
Sounds like you are having a blast. Only 6 days left. Are ya'll ready to go home? Do the boys ever feel like they'd like live here one day? I can't imagine living so far away from family. I'm sure your loved ones really cherish your blog so they can keep up with you and know you are okay. I KNOW I DO!!!!!!!!

  14. I haven't tried those ever!!! I guess they are not as popular in Guatemala, but now, I want to try!! Will have to wait for the rainy season to finish; it would be hard to have a fire under the rain ;-)
Relaxing summer days...how long I miss them!! Enjoy them my friend!!

  19. The power of smores... I loved the smores we had together at the lake this summer. I have not had a smore since i was a child. The simple pleasures is what it is all about!! It looks like you spent some really nice, quality time with your family. It does not get much better than that. I loved the picture of the moon that you took. NICE!!

    Love,
    Renee
