Wednesday Wishes

The human spirit needs places where nature
has not been rearranged by the hand of man.

I snapped this picture while at an intersection earlier. It was just so refreshing to see something colorful growing freely in an environment that is mostly drab. Just thought I would share a little color with all who are still experiencing cold and snow. This next quote is from the year I was born:

I believe in God, only I spell it Nature.
~Frank Lloyd Wright, quoted, 14 August 1966

Day 17 of my birthday month has been a nice, quiet day. I'd just like to thank all you beautiful bloggers who stop by my little corner of the world. You bring a bit of joy to my day each time you visit. Peace & blessings, Tammy

  3. Soooooo, nice to see some green here today. Know F.L.W. well, as we live near Oak Park where he is from and there are still a couple of his houses. Thanks for sharing his words today.

  4. Love the quotes and that photo is glorious! I'm officially tired of winter, though I love it in good measure. It's just too much - the calendar for Illinois should show 2 seasons - Winter and Summer. I'm longing for some warmth.

  5. A lovely spot of green! I'm lucky to live in an area where there's so much untouched nature to love...and lots of farmland, which I also find beautiful.

Hope you're enjoying your birth month--a special time, no matter how old we get!

  17. Thanks for the touch of color! So many people here in the States can certainly use a little nudge to remind us that Spring isn't too far around the corner.

  18. Tammy, I just love to find green in a drab landscape! During our snowy winters, I try to find green everywhere else: my living room walls, towels, my bedroom. Turquoise earrings. I am so ready for spring. Happy BDAY month! Sherry

  19. That's a pretty picture Tammy. I think you have more green than we do, although with all the snow we've had, it's going to be a green Spring around here. Thanks for the well wishes for my son on his birthday. He called from school to let me know he appreciated all the comments on the blog.
    Blessings,
    Marcia

  27. I honestly cannot believe you saw this in Kuwait. Looks like something you would find on the hill behind my parent's house in Honeoye. Glad to know you are surrounded by at least a little green beauty!! Thanks for making me think of Honeoye today!!

    Love,
    Renee

  28. What a beautiful spot of green with a hint of color. Reminds me of fields back home in NY. Imagine my surprise also, when you said you took it here. Now is the time when little spurts of nature will start arising from the desert dust as spring is upon us. Today I wish you "health" so you have many years of enjoying such moments.
