I put it off as long as I can stand it (and I have a husband who 'gets' me) so that when it's clean, you can actually see the difference! And I agree, why pay a maid to do that? Red dirt covered the mountains (and my deck) and THEN the wind blew up some red dust from AZ a couple of weeks ago!
